Our whistles are machined as a single piece from aluminum. They are bead blasted to remove machining marks and then hard anodized. The bead blast leaves a slight texture to the finish. They are anodized either black or clear (grey). The hard anodizing is food safe and resists scratches. We have found this design to be very easy to use and easy to learn.
